Can you afford a designer dog?

As young Australians look to buy into the dog market, the question they should be asking themselves is can they actually afford it?

In 2017 popular breeds such as pugs, sausage dogs, frenchies and bulldogs are selling from $1500 to $20,000.

But does the spending stop with the price-tag?
