Private health care: Can young Australians afford it?


An estimated 11.3 million Australians have private health cover, but the number of insured young millennials has been dropping since mid 2015.

Over 50,000 young Australians have stopped paying for private insurance, is it because of the increasing premiums or the diminishing government rebate?

Either way young people seem to be turning to the public health sector for their medical needs, rather than opting for private insurance.
